Reggae Legend John Holt Dead at 67

Reggae singer John Holt passed away Sunday at a London hospital at the age of 67. The cause of death has not yet been confirmed. The news of the singers death was confirmed by Holt's nephew. There has recently been false rumors about the singers death following an incident in which the artist collapsed on stage during a performance this past August.
John Holt first rose to fame as the lead singer of the rocksteady singing group The Paragons, whom released classic hits such as "Happy Go Lucky Girl" and the most notable "The Tide is High" written by Holt.
In 1970 Holt went solo and released his hit song "Stick by Me". In 1973 his album "Time is the Master" receieved great feedback in England. The same year he released "1000 Volts of Holt" which peaked at #6 on the UK charts.
Holt has performed all over the world, but has a particularly large British fan base.
