Solange Knowles to Spend Summer in Jamaica

Online reports have confirmed that Solange Knowles is spending her summer in Jamaica. The singer, who celebrated her 28th birthday on Tuesday, is said to be on the island putting the finishing touches on her latest album.

The album would be her third effort to date and according to her, she has been doing recordings in Long Island, Accra, and New Iberia.

Knowles shared the news via instagram with a photo of the view from her island home. "I'm at the finish line. Literally can't believe your my home most of this summer. I've written, produced and recorded this album in Long Island, New Orleans, New Iberia, Accra, and now finishing in Jamaica. May my creation be blessed by Jah," the caption read.

The exact location where the artiste is vacationing is still unknown, but many have speculated that the Trident Hotel in Portland may be the spot, with some pointing to Geejam Recording Studio as the recording site. Earlier this year, Katy Perry also vacationed in Jamaica. It is reported that she, too, visited Geejam and stayed at the Trident Hotel.
